A trip to Lansdowne
Lansdowne Travel Guide – Places To Visit In The Beautiful Hill Station of Uttarakhand
Going through my travel book my memory got refresh when I look at my pics of Lansdowne what a beautiful place to visit with family and kids you would love visiting this place, would wish to visit it again, But how to reach this place. This question will definitely arise in your mind So friend today I would be discussing about the different means available which you can pick up as per your convenience.
Lansdowne can be reached from three different means:
- By flight
- By train
- By bus or your own vehicle
However going by flight is not recommended according to me as nearest airport Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun is, 83 km far away from the main city. From the airport you need to take a cab to Lansdowne or you can catch a public bus from Dehradun to Lansdowne as per your convenience
If you choose to travel by train like me believe me you are going to enjoy the view of Hills.
The nearest station to Lansdowne is Kotdwar which is approximately 40 km away from it you can take a cab from Kotdwar to reach Lansdowne .
If you wish to go by road then options are available from Delhi
Direct buses are available but if in case you didn’t get a direct bus for Lansdowne then break your journey into parts, take a bus from Delhi till Kotdwar from their next head to Lansdowne. If you are planning your journey from Delhi then the simplest route you should follow is
Delhi- Ghaziabad- Muradnagar- Meerut bypass road- Khatauli -Bijnor -Najibabad -kotdwar -Lansdowne.
You can also take your car to reach there just need to follow the route. To commute in city book a cab or if you are travelling with your personal car then commute with it. If you are a jungle safari lover then there are operators available that manage jungle safari you would be able to see the Himalayan wildlife and the best forest view is captured for years in your mind ..
Lack in hotel option not too many options are available, the price range is from 1500 to 18000 INR
But here the pro tip, If you can go to outskirts about 7- 8 km then you will find a place named Jaiharikhal. Just 15 minutes travel time to Lansdowne you will find cheap hotels but the scenic beauty is very awesome & lovely
