While the first choice for family trips to escape from their daily lives  are always the peaceful yet picturesque landscape of Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, Chamba, KhajjiarKullu, Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh as people enjoy the amalgamation of modern day culture with the rich heritage this state holds within itself, you not only get road side dhabas serving hot tea with a bite of samosa or magi made in the simplest manner possible, accompanying the cool breeze crossing you that can make your mood pleasant any time ( teaching us how little things can bring joy in our life)  but also you will get to see buildings with European style architecture and restraint serving cuisines of nearly every type.

 

Though peace brings people to stay in these spots but there is something for the adventure seekers, the adrenaline rush junkies, the beautiful yet adventurous treks  of Triund, Tosh-Malana, Kheer Ganga, Prashar lake, Bijli Mahadev some of these are low altitude while others really test your love for trekking.

 

An adobe for nearly 20 devtaas along with many Hindu Gods and Goddesses and seat of Dalai Lama at Mcleodganj gives Himachal Pradesh a spiritual yet mystic touch making it always a first spot on the list of every traveler who wants to explore and be mesmerised with the hidden secrets of this land.

 

Gangotri a source of not just a river but the faith of millions and it chose to reside in Uttarakhand, the Land where Kedarnath (Shiva) resides with (Badrinath) at the top followed by Haridwar, Rishikesh while these places brings a peace of mind when one sees or hears Ganga on the other hand it makes the blood to flow  and heart to pump much faster when one touches the Ganga famous for river rafting and cliff jumping these places tops the list of every college going individual who always like to off the edge or wants a little bit of kick when away from the regular life.

 

While it resides one of the highest peaks of the Indian subcontinent it also holds the oldest national park that is Jim Corbett famous for its contribution in project tiger. Uttarakhand also offers romantic hill station destination for honeymoon couples such as Nainital, Lansdowne, Ranikhet and many more.

 

While there are more trekking options in Himachal Pradesh it’s the water sports adventure that gives Uttarakhand its fare share of liveliness but one thing is common in both that is peace whether you find it in the flow of Ganga or Sky touching snow caped peaks you will surely love to come back some day as hiker, trekker or a rafter the other day just a peace seeker and some day both.

 

In the end any state you visit Uttarakhand or Himachal Pradesh we guarantee its gonna refresh your stressed routine life with loads of loads adventures and thrills.
